A CompactFlash adapter with activity clicking noises for your Amiga 600 and 1200

All Amiga 600/1200 computers (even the non-HD models) come with an IDE controller which lets you connect a 2.5" laptop hard drive. However, today working spinning drives with the old IDE connectors are becoming increasingly hard to come by, so many retro fans use a CompactFlash card or similar with an adapter instead.

While a CF adapter usually involves using a short IDE cable to fit the adapter properly, the AmigaCF adapter instead mounts firmly onto the IDE connector, and you will be rid of adapters and CompactFlash cards 'flapping around in the breeze' inside your Amiga.

Features:

  • Easy to mount and use

  • Audible clicking sounds at disk activity will simulate the read-head noises from a vintage spinning hard drive. Adjustable to 2 sound levels: loud and quiet (and off)

  • Mounts horizontally, directly and securely onto your motherboard's IDE connector

  • Will fit snugly in your Amiga 600 or 1200, out of the way of any existing motherboard components

  • Jumper to select HDD mode, master or slave (leave on master for Amiga use)

  • Connector for attaching an external HDD activity LED (make sure a resistor is connected in series with the LED or you will blow the LED!)

Forsendelse og returnering

Orders are usually shipped within a few days. Some items, however, are made to order and require additional production time. These include custom floppy/IDE cables, 3D printed items, t-shirts, mugs, mousepads, and similar items.

Please note that, as I run this as a one-man project alongside a full-time job, I usually pack orders in the evenings and ship them the following day. Sometimes, life has other plans which may delay things a little, but I strive to keep processing time to a minimum.

For shipping options that mention a parcel shop or a parcel locker, the location nearest to your shipping address is automatically chosen. If you want your order to be delivered to a specific location, please mention it in a shopping cart comment or contact me separately.
